Have fun with Paper Marbling!
Discover the traditional and meditative technique of painting on water: marble your own paper designs in your favorite colors and experiment with this art also known as suminagashi or ebru.
Marbling paper can be challenging, but we will teach you a practical way of doing it, so you can achieve high-quality paper designs in a very short time. During our marbling workshops, we will work with a bright and modern color palette for a contemporary look.
The simple act of applying drops of paint over the marbling bath and seeing how the colors interact and mix with each other is satisfying and relaxing. When marbling, you lose some control over the piece of art you are creating. If you are a paper marbling master, you might get to reproduce more sheets of paper with the same design. But even so, each paper is a real one-of-a-kind piece of art. We will show you how to create standard patterns. But you will also have the chance to explore your own creativity and create your very own designs.
