Collection: Lauren Moya Ford

On view at Jardín in Montrose, Swans will feature approximately 30 new ink and pastel drawings on paper. Intimate in scale and created from found photographs, these pieces playfully explore the iconic bird’s graceful form and poetic associations while experimenting with mark making and color. On view for the month of December. 

Lauren Moya Ford is an artist and writer in Austin, Texas. Her artwork and text-based performances have been presented at The Menil Collection’s Byzantine Chapel, The University of Texas at Austin’s Visual Arts Center, El Centro de Arte La Regenta (Las Palmas, Spain), Plataforma Revólver (Lisbon, Portugal), and at art spaces in Austin, Guimarães, Madrid, Montreal, Philadelphia, Porto, and Tokyo. Her work, which spans drawing, ceramics, photography, text, and printmaking, explores her ongoing relationship to memory, the body, and nature.
